Trulli Mimosa

Trulli Mimosa is named for the huge mimosa tree growing opposite the front door. Surrounded by over three acres of olive groves and orchards the Trulli sleeps 4+1 in 2 bedrooms and an alcove.

In complete contrast to the eclectic 'shabby chic' interior design, is the surprise of the 15 meter long turquoise pool lined with Venetian glass tiles and surrounded by sun loungers, umbrellas, wooden decking and Travertine stone patios. A large umbrella which is set into the pool floor shades this particular area. The shallow conversation area in the pool, which was specifically built with children in mind, is perfect for lounging about on family holidays or on a romantic break. For the sports minded guests the pool is extra long for those wanting to swim laps.

Trulli Mimosa has been described variously as 'Paradise' or 'Fairyland' by previous guests, and is already very popular with honeymooners because of its romantic settings.

You arrive at the Trulli via remote controlled gates and a short 'via bianca' driveway to park under an olive tree or the enormous cypress tree, under which hang various hammocks, a promise of lazy days to come. As you round the corner the view opens out to a large stone patio scattered with dining tables and chairs.

The Trulli is covered with pots and vases tumbling with geraniums and bougainvilleas. A rambling rose climbs around the arch of the large double doors of the master bedroom, and along the rustic pergola. This recent addition to the trulli is perfect for eating breakfast or lunch in the shade; dinner is usually eaten nearer to the pool and the barbeque under the mimosa tree.

The designer owner loves to garden and adds a flowerbed or group of fruit trees every season, look back to the "before" photos in the album I the trullo to see how the planting is developing. The gardener Francesco visit weekly to tend the plants, water and tidy the flower beds. Please note that whilst this is a private property with its own private pool, it does share the same gate and some of the drive as Trulli Stella which is located approx 200 yards away.
